The deal, in plain English. Using smoothst means you accept it.
Before launch: the operator details need filling in. smoothst is operated by [your name or company], contact [contact email].
Skating is dangerous and this app does not make it safe. Everything here is information posted by other people. Nobody has inspected any of it. Use your own judgement, every single time, and wear a helmet.
A map of ground that other skaters have said is good to roll on, plus the places, jams and shops that go with it. It is built from OpenStreetMap data and from what users add.
You keep ownership of what you add. By posting it you give us permission to show it in the app and to keep showing it — otherwise a map would fall apart every time somebody left.
Do not post:
We can remove anything and close accounts that abuse the map. Bad ratings poison it for everyone, which is why proof-of-presence exists.
Shop and rink listings come from OpenStreetMap and start out owned by nobody. If a listing is yours you can claim it and control what it says. Claiming does not transfer the ratings skaters have left — those belong to the people who wrote them and stay as they are.
Points are a scoreboard, not money. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and can be adjusted or removed if they were earned by gaming the system. Any discount a partner shop offers is between you and that shop.
smoothst is provided as-is, with no warranty that it is accurate, available, or fit for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from using it or from going anywhere it shows you.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
